Behind the scenes!

Hello All,

As you can see, two of our fabulous front of house team have published a blog already. They have now passed the baton on to me, for a behind the scenes (kitchen, if you will) view.

Firstly my name is Bex, the very proud to be sous chef here at The Exeter Arms, Let me tell you a little bit of my history in the industry. I started out in hospitality at a very young age to initially earn myself some pocket money, then I very quickly found a lot of love for it. Fast forward through my apprenticeship and a variety of different jobs, ranging from large chain restaurants to stately homes. I now find myself here at The Exeter Arms and my first step into fine dining........with a twist, working along side a wonderful team full of inspiring ideas, passion and excitement for what we do and more importantly what we all want to achieve.

Looking back now, after having the restaurant open for just over 4 weeks it certainly seems a long time ago since first opened the garden for our pizzas. These will be making a comeback, with exciting new twists and flavours for you to feast on, keep an eye on social media for more info. Since the early days we now have our exceptionally talented head chef with us in the kitchen, we have created an exciting restaurant menu full of bold flavours and different textures for everyone to share and enjoy. My personal favourite as a seafood lover are the pan fried scallops with pea, lemon and Parma ham. To follow it would have to be (because I'm a girl with northern roots) our twist on a classic bread & butter pudding with white chocolate and raspberry running through it with a creme brûlée top. Don't just take my word for it as I may be slightly bias, get down and try it for yourself!!

Coming up on the 24th October is our first bottomless brunch, your chance to enjoy some delicious, stomach lining brunch and indulge in unlimited fizz and an exciting choice of cocktails. Most importantly relax and have some fun, let us look after you.

Currently the head chef and I are working hard behind the scenes on a new Christmas menu to tantalise your taste buds. Watch this space!!
